Elk Island is situated about a 30 minute drive east, from Edmonton.

This is a view of the lake and its famous island. We are standing on the paved trail that leads us on a wonderful hike, beside the lake.

Perhaps you are getting tired from hiking up this last hill... Here is the famous resting place (and PARTY house)!

Inside you find places to sit and a wonderful stone fireplace to warm up with (or get cooking on!).

At one point of the trail we come to this water walkway, that features interesting nature information along the path across the water.

Careful...don't fall in...it is cold!
